Job Description

We are seeking a Cyber Security Intern to join our team and support our efforts to secure our organization against cyber threats. As a Cyber Security Intern, you will work closely with our cyber security team to monitor and analyze our network for potential threats, identify vulnerabilities, and implement security measures to mitigate risks. You will also be involved in conducting research and developing new tools and techniques to enhance our cyber security capabilities.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist with the monitoring of network traffic and identifying potential security threats
• Help analyze system logs and network traffic to identify anomalous activity
• Participate in vulnerability assessments and penetration testing exercises
• Work with the cyber security team to implement security measures to mitigate identified risks
• Assist in the development and implementation of security policies and procedures
• Participate in incident response activities and assist in the investigation of security incidents
• Conduct research on emerging cyber security threats and technologies
• Assist in the development and testing of new security tools and techniques

Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in a degree program related to cyber security or information technology
• Familiarity with cyber security concepts and principles
• Knowledge of network protocols and operating systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Familiarity with common security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability scanners
• Experience with programming languages such as Python , Java, or C#, PHP is a plus
